I'm Jacob. I'm a mechanical engineer who has built race cars and electric motorcycles, but the truck in this photo is the one that actually matters to me. It's my 1986 Crew Cab, and I drive it every day. Every part I sell started as something in this dash that bugged me enough to fix it right.
I don't outsource. I design it, machine it, beat on it in my own truck, and ship it from my shop in Oregon myself. If a part wears the Classic Revolution name, it earned its spot in this dash before it ever got near yours.
WHAT EVERY BUYER ASKS FIRST
Do I have to cut up my dash to install this?
One small trim in the lower right corner where the factory radio sat, an area that's usually already been cut for an aftermarket radio anyway. A printable trim pattern is included with your bezel, so the cut is exact. Everything else lines up with the factory openings.
Will my heater and AC controls still work?
Yes, completely. We kept the HVAC opening the exact factory size, so every heat and AC function works just like it always has. The screen is larger, but your controls are untouched.
Does it actually run CarPlay and Android Auto?
Yes. The system comes pre-loaded with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so your phone connects for maps, music, calls, and apps the moment it's installed. It's also WiFi capable, through your home network or your phone as a hotspot.
Why does it have four camera inputs?
So your old truck can do what new ones do. Run a bed camera and a hitch camera at once, add forward cameras, or arrange them for a full 360-degree surround view. Most owners start with a backup cam and grow into the rest.
